The construction industry makes up about 8% of the industrial workforce worldwide, but the construction phase accounts for 1/3 of all accidents in the industrial sector.
Rapidly increasing digitization in the construction sector has and will positively impact improving site safety

- We use drones for high-risk situations in buildings or areas, so there is no immediate need for physical work in more dangerous zones, and all possible threats can be mapped/digitized.
- Software can help share information, with a clear view of possible related risks, between all construction parties involved. This has a positive impact as it ensures that risks and dangerous scenarios are detected in advance.
- AI applications are the next step in helping to make working conditions safer and proactively manage risks, including through advanced monitoring and real-time adjustments to safety protocols.
- Safety apps first appeared a decade ago, but nowadays, they are more common and affordable. Their benefits extend beyond just enforcing regulations. They gather precise and timely information from the job site. This matters as analytics and reflect accurate data, as the EU's request for data will drive even more the use and acceptance of safety apps for data collection in the construction sector.

"At Group-IPS we believe strongly in the digitalization and the importance of monitoring and analyzing Safety data in the construction sector. Since the early beginning of “Aproplan (now “LetsBuild”), we have used this platform as a digital solution to identify, monitor, and share in real-time Safety Related information with contractors on site and the client."
