Lexel Factory Extension in Riga

The project is a result of almost 10 years of successful cooperation, starting from the research and selection of the plot and several extensions, supported by IPS Bulgaria team. The current stage was very challenging because the production program changed several times, which lead to development of multiple design options, assignment updates and budget adaptations.

The covid period and the war in Ukraine were unexpected complications which, reflected in insecurity and soaring inflation during the tendering phase, which almost put the project under question. With hard work and very close cooperation with the local Schneider team, all obstacles were overcome, resulting in almost 8000 sq.m. new Warehouse, Production and Social areas.

The Extension #3 project was the largest and most complex endeavor we have undertaken together. Throughout its realization, we encountered numerous challenges, which were overcome through exceptional teamwork, bold decision-making, and remarkable dedication.

The project faced significant challenges due to the volatile international environment between 2021 and 2024, including supply chain issues, fluctuating costs, and regulatory changes. Despite these hurdles, IPS Bulgaria consistently demonstrated resilience and adaptability. Their proactive problem-solving approach helped reduce the project’s level of uncertainty and the impact of these external factors on the project timeline and quality.
