BF6 Slag Granulation

Tata Steel’s IJmuiden Works is located on the North Sea Coast of the Netherlands and produces organic and metallic coated strip products for Global markets through its basic oxygen steelmaking, thin strip caster, hot strip mill, annealing lines, cold mills and metallic/organic coating lines. The site is capable of producing up to about 7,500,000 tonnes/year of hot/cold rolled coil in a variety of finishes

Due to new regulations TATA will reduce odour emission by installing new condensation towers replacing the existing slag granulation exhaust.

IPS is acting as General Designer order to prepare the execution of the project, produce the necessary basic engineering, evaluate the CAPEX and particularly define a mounting procedure for the system that will be installed during BF production.
