Steelanol
ArcelorMittal is the world's leading steel and mining company. Guided by a philosophy to produce safe and sustainable steel. As part of their smart carbon route strategy, AM is building a new plant using a technology developed by the company Lanzatech.
The purpose of the project Steelanol is to build a new Bio-Ethanol production facility converting the BF flue gas inside of bio-reactors. The sustainable ethanol produced at the Steelanol plant, the first commercial product of ArcelorMittal’s Carbalyst family of recycled carbon chemicals, can be used as fuel for transport or as a building block for producing chemicals. As part of this project IPS is taking part in the overall project management and the construction supervision. The management of civil, electrical and mechanical packages is also delegated to IPS, as owner representative
