Salt Slag Hannover

Befesa is a global company that specializes in the management and recycling of industrial waste. The site in Hannover focuses on recycling salt slags using hydrometallurgical processes.

The first objective of the project was to install a new scrubber building in order to cancel odorous gas releases in the direct neighborhood of the plant. During installation phase, a major fire occurred due to contractor not respecting safety procedures during welding. The fire damaged considerably the plant, including the process installations.

IPS brought support to Befesa in the reconstruction engineering of the damaged systems:
